Become a Changemaker

Volunteer with us, and become a changemaker!

Volunteering is central to the ethos of The Sparkle Foundation. We are building a movement of changemakers and our volunteers make an enormous difference to what we can achieve and the quality of services we can provide to our beneficiaries in Malawi.

We welcome volunteers from all around the world. At Sparkle we recognise that everyone has a unique set of skills, we aspire to provide opportunities that utilise those skills most effectively. We ensure that volunteers are placed in roles that are right for them and will provide the most impact for the communities that we serve.

If you are interested in joining our movement of changemakers as a volunteer, please view our current opportunities and apply below.

Volunteering in Malawi

We are changing lives with our programmes and we want our volunteers to join us in this movement and become part of the Sparkle family.

We don’t believe in voluntourism. We want to help enable you to help others. We want you to love Malawi and the people you meet as well as sharing your skills. We won’t pull the wool over your eyes or just give you things to do for the sake of it. You will get stuck in. You will live, breathe and work with our kids, staff and the local community. It won’t be easy, it won’t always be the ‘fun stuff’, but it will be real and you will make a difference.

a lot has changed, but the feeling hasn’t

My last visit was in 2019 when I was 16 years old, I’m now 20 and a lot has changed, but the feeling hasn’t. It’s always great to visit Sparkle and see what the work amounts to.

You will not regret making that commitment

“there is no perfect time to take time out to give back, give thought to your skill set and how it could be utilised by Sparkle, and reach out to Sarah and her team. You will not regret making that commitment”
